The Brief

Following the promotion of the Finance Director to Managing Director a full overview of the current talent in the business was needed in order to retain top talent and support the business moving forward. Inclusive Consulting met with the Managing Director and Head of HR to review current skill gaps, areas of potential risk, top talent and succession plans. After considerable review of recruitment options and existing talent, Inclusive Consulting recruited four positions of Management Accountant, Interim Sales Controller and an Interim and Permanent Technical Manager

Process and Aftercare

In order to recruit these positions across the organisation it was vital that Emma and Alex were able to meet with and speak regularly with the MD and Head of HR to understand team dynamics. In each instance a full search was conducted with longlisting of anywhere up to thirty or even forty candidates for each position. Phone interviews, screening and face to face interviews were conducted with full briefs before first stage interview for the Ops Director, Head of HR and the MD. This meant that before the interview the hiring managers were aware of potential risks and strengths of each candidate and equipped with areas of questioning to probe further. The positions took a varied amount of time each according to the complexity of each role but all were urgent – we worked with pace to secure candidates swiftly whilst not compromising on quality. Aftercare Emma provides ongoing coaching and support for both the Managing Director and the Head of HR discussing recruitment opportunities but also to coach, develop and inspire existing members of the team.
