A PE backed, high growth manufacturing business with a turnover of £300m

The Brief

A new CFO joined the board of this PE backed highly acquisitive and high growth manufacturing business. The finance function required a number of individuals to join the team to create succession plans, drive continuous improvement and deliver business objectives. Roles recruited: Management Accountant, Temp-to-Perm Regional Financial Controller The Regional Financial Controller position was a particularly challenging role to fill due to the swift departure of the predecessor, an interim in place, a new GM on-site and a difficult remote location far from commuter towns. The position was also confidential so we were not able to advertise the role only able to use our search and selection skills.

Process and Aftercare

Despite using a multinational agency for a few months, the client had not been able to find a backfill for the Regional Financial Controller position. Inclusive identified and screened fourteen individuals for the role and shortlisted a total of four who were taken to first stage interview. Two were selected for second and one was hired having worked a three-month notice period. Due to the long notice period, which can always be risky, Inclusive worked closely with the candidate to ensure a smooth start. Ongoing assistance and contact throughout the individuals start in the company is also vital to ensure success of the placement in a very fast paced business with imminent acquisitions.
