After nearly eight years working at a large multinational recruitment firm, I felt ready to transition to a smaller business with ambitious plans for growth and a clear customer-centric ethos and strategy. The experience I bring with me includes managing multiple teams and recruiting across various disciplines, including Finance, HR, Marketing & Communications, and Business Support.
I also have a passion for all things ED&I and neurodiversity, thanks to my Psychology degree and time spent volunteering as an ED&I Lead.
I am excited to help Inclusive Consulting remain at the forefront of accessibility practices both internally and externally, providing an inclusive working environment for our colleagues and recruiting from a more diverse talent pool for our clients.
What do you enjoy most about working within a team setting, and how do you see collaboration playing a role in achieving success?
In a client-facing business, it is crucial that we work together to ensure we provide the best service possible to the businesses we partner with and the candidates we support. Whether it’s recommending a candidate for a role, or introducing clients to a colleague with specialised knowledge who would be better placed to support, collaboration is fundamental to our success.
What do you think is the key to building lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders?
The key to building lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders lies in clear communication, consistency, delivering on promises, honesty, and integrity. It may sound basic, but people want genuine interactions. The clients and candidates who return to me time and again know that I will prioritise their needs over mine and genuinely have their best interests at heart.
What trends in our industry excite you the most, and how do you see them influencing your work at Inclusive Consulting?
The trend in our industry that excites me the most is the return of face-to-face meetings. This was lost during the pandemic, and the reliance on MS Teams remained thereafter. While video calls are useful, especially when working from home or over long distances, nothing beats getting to know a client or candidate over a drink or lunch. I feel that it helps to build stronger, more personal connections.
“I’m thrilled to have Becki join the Inclusive team. Becki brings with her a wealth of experience managing high performing recruitment teams and I’ve no doubt that we will see her thrive as Operational Director, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to ensure we always provide an exceptional service!”
