After carving out a strong presence in the charity and not for profit sector, I was keen to carry on in the working within the industry.
After meeting Emma and the team, it was clear to see there is a lot of synergy with the team, and could see myself developing further in the set up.
In a competitive market, how do you differentiate yourself and the consultancy to attract clients and candidates?
I’m always in favour of a personal approach, as well as ensuring that I can offer an impartial opinion to both candidates and clients.
The current market is a difficult one to navigate, and the personal touch goes a long way with this. I do feel having honest conversations on motives for candidate or client is a great opportunity to find out what the true end goal is for others.
When it comes to sourcing candidates, what innovative methods or platforms do you find most effective in identifying talent?
The current market is one which provides a number of challenges when finding talent. Whilst talented people will be sought after, ensuring a personal approach will certainly breed its own success, and is likely to achieve buy back from others. Keeping in touch with people and forming strong relationships is pivotal throughout the entire process.
What’s the weirdest talent or skill you possess that not many people know about?
Skillset wise I used to be decent at swimming, and have the qualifications to be a rookie lifeguard, so if someone was drowning, I’d need to get another lifeguard to supervise me in trying to stop the person from drowning. Probably best not to ask me.
If you could instantly master any skill or hobby, what would it be, and why?
Pretending I like Tom Tom’s like everyone else in the office seems to be a highly practised skill, which I’m quite far off.
I’m delighted to have James join the Inclusive team. James has a fantastic reputation within the market and he lives and breathes the Inclusive values. James’ passion, focus and drive is incredibly impressive and I very much look forward to seeing James’ career progress within the Inclusive business. James has already had an incredibly positive impact on the business and is fast becoming an integral part of the Inclusive brand and culture.
