We’re always looking for ways to improve and move forward. That means questioning the norm, exploring fresh approaches, and being open to doing things differently when it leads to better outcomes. It’s not about pressure or perfection - it’s about progress.
In practice, that looks like reflecting on how we work, sharing ideas, and pushing ourselves to find smarter, more effective ways to deliver for our clients, candidates, and each other.
We listen to feedback, and we’re always looking for the next opportunity to raise our standards. Growth is continuous here, and we never stop striving for more.
Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say
Honesty is our baseline, but it goes deeper than clear communication - it’s also about keeping our word.
When we make a commitment, we stand by it, even when the path gets challenging. That means being upfront, delivering on expectations, and working with you to navigate obstacles with new ideas, creative thinking, and practical solutions.
We don’t promise lightly, and we don’t disappear when things get tough. You can rely on us to be consistent, accountable, and fully invested from start to finish.
Stay Curious
We believe the best results come from taking the time to truly understand people - their goals, their challenges, and what is most important to them. Curiosity helps us dig deeper, ask better questions, and see beyond the surface.
It’s not about overthinking or slowing things down, but about taking a little extra time to learn what really matters. In practice, that means active listening, gathering insight, seeking feedback, and always being open to learning something new.
Working in Team Inc. means holding ourselves to high standards - we work hard, aim high, and deliver exceptional service. But we also believe that life outside of work matters just as much.
Supporting our team’s wellbeing isn’t optional; it’s a core part of who we are. That’s why we offer flexible working, a 9-day fortnight, and a range of benefits designed to help people thrive personally and professionally.
When people feel balanced, respected, and supported, great work naturally follows.
Be In It Together
Collaboration sits at the core of how we work. We create a safe, supportive space where ideas are shared openly, help is offered freely, and individuality and accountability are both valued.
Because we work this way, you never just get the insight of one consultant - you gain the collective strength of the whole team. Every conversation draws on over 50 years of combined experience, market knowledge, and professional networks.
Leadership that strengthens direction, shapes culture, and moves organisations forward.
The right leadership transforms an organisation. We specialise in appointing senior leaders who bring clarity, credibility, and direction - people who strengthen culture as much as strategy.
Working across Yorkshire and the Midlands, we take a discreet, research-led approach to help you meet CEOs, CFOs, COOs and Directors who align with your goals and pace of change.
Whether you’re planning for succession or building out your top team, we connect you with leaders who make a lasting impact..
Having worked with Emma and the wider Inc. Consulting team on numerous projects, I simply wouldn't consider going elsewhere. In an industry that often promises the world yet fails to deliver, Emma stands out as a genuine beacon of excellence.
The Inc. team truly understands the value of nurturing long-term relationships, and it's clear that building lasting trust takes priority over quick profits. Their approach is refreshingly authentic in today's business landscape, combining professional expertise with genuine care for their clients' success. If you're looking for a partner rather than just a service provider, look no further than Emma and the Inc. team.
Tom Simpson, Sales Director
I have now been placed in two amazing roles thanks to the wonderful people at Inc. Consulting. Becki has done such a great job placing me in my current role, I could not have asked for a better person during this transition period.
She was quick to respond to my queries and was always looking out for my best interests. I never felt like she was trying to push a role onto me that I was not suited for or had interest in, she always placed my preferences and experience first. I would highly recommend these great people to help you find your next role.
Brandon Ilaga, Revenue Accountant
Emma and the team were very responsive. The communication was open and timely. Any questions or concerns I raised were quickly answered. I felt their approach was one of honesty, focusing on making sure they got the right person for the right job rather than purely filling quotas.
I would highly recommend this business and will engage with them again for my own furure hires.
Emily Hall, Head of Delivery
We’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Becki and the team at Inc. Consulting across numerous recruitment needs, and their approach has always been exceptional. From the very beginning, they took the time to truly get to know ‘us’ – our business, our vision, our goals and our culture. By building such a genuine rapport, they’ve developed an in-depth understanding of ‘who we are’ and what makes our organisation unique.
They stay in touch, keep pace with our journey and celebrate our successes, which allows them to anticipate and understand our evolving business needs when supporting with new hires. What really sets them apart is their bespoke approach – they recognised that every client is different and adjust their style to suit, never offering a one-size-fits-all solution.
Their professionalism, communication, and ability to find the right fit – both technically and culturally - have made them one of our go-to recruitment partners. They don’t just fill roles; they help us build a stronger team every time
Jo Thompson, Chief Business Officer

Becki has been outstanding with helping me to find the most suitable candidates for my vacancies and with her dedication, patience, and attention to all the details has helped me to secure three great hires over the past 6 months.
Becki takes the time out to really understand the vacancies we have, not only from a skills and experience point of view but also from a personality point of view and our newest team members have integrated so well with the teams and are absolutely flying with regard to their training and performance.
If anyone is looking for the right person to fit a role they have I would have no hesitation in recommending Inc. Consutling and in particular Becki to help you find the right match for your needs!
Tania Morris, Head of Lending
I’ve had the privilege of working with Emma for over 15 years, and I can honestly say she's been an invaluable partner throughout my career. Emma's supported me through several executive moves, always taking the time to understand not just my professional goals but also what matters to me personally.
What really stands out is the trust and consistency that we've built over the years. Whenever I’ve needed to recruit key people for my teams - often challenging and multidisciplinary roles - Emma and the team have delivered every time. Their ability to find the right talent, combined with their genuine care for getting it right, has made a huge difference to the success of my organisations.
This isn’t just a recruitment service; it’s a long-standing relationship built on integrity, insight, and results. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Emma and the team at Inc. Consulting, as partners in career moves and talent acquisition.
Ian Berresford, Finance Director
Inc. Consulting have been brilliant at not just filling in our vacancies but also providing us with details on the current market, study packages, and benchmarking. Inc Consulting are great at communication and are supportive throughout the process.
Working in the charity sector, it can be hard to find the right people to fit our values. Becki has been great in understanding our organisation and as a result we do not get irrelevant CVs thrown at us - there is careful consideration with each candidate recommendation. We would highly recommend Inc. Consulting - they provide a service which is personal to our needs.
As much as they value us as a customer, we value them too.
Jen Allott, Finance Manager

Inc. Consulting take the time to fully understand our brief and immerse themselves in our requirements to offer a more ‘partnering’ approach compared to a transactional approach offered by others. The result has been multiple successful hires – individuals who not only have the right skills but also the right attitude to thrive and grow at Finsbury.
Every time we’ve engaged with Anna and the team at Inc. Consulting, we’ve been impressed by the quality of candidates they deliver and the thoroughness of their process. Their team genuinely cares about each project, and the depth of expertise across their organisation is impressive.
Becki Ashley, Partner at Inc. Consulting, sat down with UnLTD Business about the opportunities and challenges presented by today's multi-generational workforce.
With five generations now active in the workplace, organisations are having to think differently about attraction, retention and engagement. In this article, published in UnLTD Business, Becki shares her thoughts on why businesses that broaden their hiring approach are gaining a competitive edge.
Few leaders can point to a career spanning commercial banking, food redistribution, circular economy business models, and large-scale organisational transformation, while consistently delivering growth and long-term value for customers, employees and shareholders. Tom Rumboll is one of them.
Having spent 14 years at Lloyds Banking Group before moving into senior leadership roles at Company Shop and later SYNETIQ, Tom has built a reputation for combining commercial discipline with people-first leadership and a strong focus on operational execution.
Our recent Inc Consulting X Sheffield and District Student Society Social at Club de Padel went exactly how we’d hoped.
The event sold out in minutes, with 60 aspiring accountants and finance professionals from across Sheffield coming together for an evening of padel, pizza, and a break from the day job and studies.
We had attendees from a wide range of firms across the region - meeting others going through the same journey, building relationships, and none of the usual awkward networking.
Since the event, we’ve had a lot of interest from both Partners and ACA students asking the same thing: what is S&DCASS, and why should my team or I get involved?
So, we sat down with Korresia MacGregor, Chair of the Sheffield & District Chartered Accountants Student Society (S&DCASS), to get her take.
