Our Wellbeing Partnership with Cavendish Cancer Care
Cavendish Cancer Care provides support, counselling and complementary therapies to cancer patients and their families in and around our home city of Sheffield. They provide an invaluable service which is free of charge.
Although they are integrated with local NHS partners, they are an independent charity that is only able to run due to fundraising and donations. And they do this so that they can ensure that no one has to face cancer alone.
They have recently launched their new corporate wellbeing platform. This aims to help businesses proactively support their employee’s wellbeing, whilst adding to their corporate benefits package. Every 12-month subscription to their platform (which allows access to up to 200 employees) allows Cavendish to provide 350 hours of therapy to those who need it.
The wellbeing platform forms just part of their corporate wellbeing offer which comprises of Mental Health First Aid Training, Focus Talks, Cancer Awareness and Guided Sessions.
Why We’ve Partnered with Cavendish
Cavendish Cancer Care is a charity close to our hearts. Unfortunately, statistics show that everyone will be or has been personally affected by cancer, either directly or indirectly – making the work that Cavendish does increasingly important.
“As a business, we are really passionate about supporting employees’ mental health and wellbeing. We feel that the work that Cavendish do is hugely beneficial to our local community. By partnering with them we are able to not only support our own employees, but by promoting their wellbeing platform and mental health first aid training, we hope that many more businesses will benefit. This in turn allows Cavendish to continue providing their invaluable service to their users.”
– Emma Conroy, Founder and Managing Director
The Importance of Corporate Wellbeing Training
As recruitment specialists, we have seen that now, more than ever, people are looking for more than just a salary increase when looking at changing roles. Companies’ corporate benefits package can make all of the difference when choosing between potential new employers.
Offering employees corporate wellbeing courses can be a great addition to your benefits package. Helping and encouraging your employees to work on their personal wellbeing can have a fantastic benefit on the overall company – as it can lead to increased productivity, overall happiness and improved health.
And when employees are happy, supported and valued – they are much more likely to stay!
Cavendish Wellbeing Training Platform
The Wellbeing platform is a library of resources, and each course is broken down into bitesize chunks so that they can be completed over a number of days, weeks or months without having to put aside a huge amount of time. They are accessible on a smartphone so they can even be completed on the go!
They are consistently adding to their suite by adding additional resources; their current training suite includes:
